Council on Overseas Language Education  is a leader in exciting and affordable study abroad programs.  For over 30 years, we have provided an enjoyable and effective mix of foreign language education and cultural exploration in locations around the world.  Most of our programs offer college credits through accredited U.S. colleges and universities. Qualified applicants are awarded significant scholarships! 

We offer separate programs tailored to the different ages and educational needs of:

• High school students
• College students (both summer and semester/year abroad programs)
• Education professionals (e.g., teachers, professors, counselors, administrators) and
• Adults interested in continuing education for fun and personal enrichment or professional development.

We call our programs "Adventures in Education"^SM because they blend classroom education with foreign travel for knowledge and memories that last a lifetime.  We invite you to explore our site for more information!

Scholarships/Grants

At COOLED , our primary mission is to make language and cultural education more effective and accessible. As part of this mission, we may grant scholarships up to $1,000 to qualified applicants in our high school, college and educational professional programs. Decisions regarding scholarships are made by a Scholarship Committee that reviews all properly completed applications.

The Council on Overseas Language Education  is an independent, non-profit organization incorporated under the laws of the State of New Jersey.  COOLED has been granted tax exempt status under section 501(c)(3) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code.

We have been in business for over 30 years, during which we have provided high quality travel-study adventures to thousands of participants from all over the United States.
